Gina Moore started Gem Catering in 2012 with daughter Rachael, supplying businesses, conferences and board rooms with bespoke, handmade food.
Working closely with clients and paying attention to every detail, quickly earned us a first class reputation. Rachael has been involved with baking and food preparation, from a very early age and now has her own small bakery ‘Sweet Gem’.
Previously to this, Gina owned and ran a children’s day nursery for 24 years. Again, food played an important part, paying close attention to nutrition and variety, making mealtimes an enjoyable part of each child’s day.
Gina has recently been asked to pass on some of her skills by providing private classes and this has prompted her to take the idea further.
Helping those who need support and guidance with learning to cook
Gem’s Kitchen has been developed to help those who need support and guidance with learning to cook, but also how to manage and set up a domestic kitchen. It has become apparent that schools no longer play a part in educating children/students to cook for themselves at home and with greater awareness on health. We aim to support and have fun helping anyone who needs us.
